Next Online Project Article

If you're a subscriber, this is a heads up that the next online project will be available for downloading the end of next week. This is a fun, cold-connection metals project that I wrote called, "Riveted Spinner Ring." The photo on the left is a sampling of some of the rings from that article. (The snapshot was taken at a recent vendor fair I participated in).

I learned this basic riveting technique at a summer metals workshop I took at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). Watch for an article about the thriving metals department at the UWM in the March 2008 issue of AJ, our second annual education issue!   Cheers, Jill

About Jill Erickson

I joined the Art Jewelry staff in March, 2006 as an Associate Editor. The time really does fly around here. It doesn't get much better than working with artists, authors, fun co-workers and looking at jewelry all day. Another bonus to magazine work is the opportunity to attend jewelry shows and conferences -- I truly look forward to these "field trips" and the chance to meet and talk with our readers and contributors.
