In times of economic crisis, we learn just how interconnected we all are -- and the jewelry scene has it's own international landing spot.

With the stock markets doing the limbo lately, I'm reminded that the economy is truly a global deal. Which in turn got me thinking about how the Internet has made it so easy to be an international armchair traveler (and consumer). One way that I like to experience other places is to hop on a Web site that features the work of jewelry artists from all over the world. If you like to do a little armchair traveling too, check out the klimt site. And for ideas about how you can sell your work online, be sure to read the Business Savvy article in the upcoming January 2009 issue of AJ.  Have a great week,  Jill

I visited klimt and found this www.klimt02.net/.../index.php to be very interesting and I also liked the crocheted/plastic animals. I like to visit web sites that feature artist from different countries too. Some certainly have a different vision.

About Jill Erickson

I joined the Art Jewelry staff in March, 2006 as an Associate Editor. The time really does fly around here. It doesn't get much better than working with artists, authors, fun co-workers and looking at jewelry all day. Another bonus to magazine work is the opportunity to attend jewelry shows and conferences -- I truly look forward to these "field trips" and the chance to meet and talk with our readers and contributors.
