Our featured artists work primarily with metal, wire, metal clay, stone, polymer clay, and complementary materials. We offer step-by-step instructions for a range of projects that correspond to various skill levels. We also publish articles on specific jewelry-making techniques, informational pieces, a gallery showcasing inspirational jewelry, and a regular column exploring the use of jewelry techniques to create non-jewelry objects. Art Jewelry also includes valuable information on tools, techniques, safety issues, and the latest products.

I met Tom and his apprentices that are shown in this program, a few years ago in NM. He is a very gentle man, gifted with artistic ability one can only dream of. His work is not half finished, nor produced to just fill the market place with his work but to create well crafted pieces of art that are enjoyable to own.

While it is a lot of fun to make things go BOOM! it is still somewhat dangerous. There have been instances of anvils cracking. The problem is not so much with the wrought iron anvils as with the cast iron ones. Also nobody is happy with just a 10' jump in the air so it gets to be how high can I get it to go thing, you know how boys are? If you don't have male children just wait until you have them, then the fun begins.

How do you prevent injury from a flying anvil — gloves? goggles? suit of armor? But that was cool to watch, nonetheless.

Glad to hear that you'd like to upload some of your work! Let's see if we can't get you started.

First off, your account needs to be updated, if it isn't already. At the top-right of our Web page, next to where it says "Welcome __your name__" you'll see an "Account" link. Follow that to make sure that your subscription info is up to date.

Next, once our Web site knows that you're a subscriber, visit our Subscriber Gallery. Click on the specific material gallery you'd like to upload your work to (enamel, wire, polymer, etc.). Scroll down a bit, and on the right is a box labeled "Common Tasks." Within that box is a link that says "Add picture." Click on that and the rest should be pretty simple.

We look forward to seeing your work in our galleries!

Best of luck,

~Addie~
