    Mechanic ring - new path

Hello :) I haven't been posting here for a long, long time due to various reasons. One of them was a creativity crisis. So many people try their skills in wire-wrapping and so many of them are gifted to become successful :) I think it's time for me to turn into some new style if I want my pieces to be different from what other wire-wrappers do :)

Here's the Mechanic ring. This project is my tribute to one of my favourite jewellery designers - Jacek Byczewski.

Unique construction combines 7 thin hammered sterling silver rings which were hammered and polished with a circle made in wire-wrapping and oxidised, brushed and polished as well. Joining them with a thin stripe of sterling sheet (oxidised and polished to dark grey) makes it possible to move the circle around the seven rings. It's a perfect ring for those who need to release their stress somehow ;)

Three colours of silver closed in this mechanic nature of the ring will surely make it a favourite piece of jewelry for those who enjoy unique solutions. This modern, ascetic path is what I'm going to continue in my creative development. I hope you'll enjoy this...

    Thank you :)

Love the concept of multiple bands.  Great work as ever.

Very cool and different!  To me wire wrapping tends to be very...kind of lacy and dainty looking.  I like that you've taken it to a more industrial look.  It really does set you apart.  Nice work!

I'm so happy for you that the crisis seems to be over. :^)) Finding one's personal path is a difficult thing, sometimes. Remembering that you are the only one who can walk it is even more difficult, at times.

Beautiful ring, innovative idea, very chic.

This is so simple and elegant!  Love the clean lines.  How good that you found a new creative path and yielded to a new muse.

    Hi Iza,

I'm new here, just joined this minute...  Your ring was the first I opened in this forum, and wow!  Ingenious!  I like it. It's fresh, original, beautiful and therapeutic!

Is there a tutorial for it or is it your invention? I can pretty much figure out how it was done reading your notes.

I'm standing in awe. Never seen anything like it except for a lady who wears a bracelet done like a bicycle chain which was also awesome...
