 I LOVE how you incorporated the individual gears into the wire-wrapping. I think you are the first I've seen to do that. you are a boundary-pusher and I admire that about you.

 Here is piece number 2 in the works.  I haven't decided how I want the bail on this pendant to look.  I love this piece, as the gears move.  A great pendant for jewelry fiddlers!

 My wife and I have really been wanting to experiment with putting little watch gears and components INSIDE our fused glass pendants, but i'm super nervous that the glass won't melt properly around the parts and possibly just make a bunch of trapped oxygen bubbles around them....gotta track down some watch parts for sure!!

 Hi Dean,

I don't think it would work very well to combine the metal w/glass. Besides the concerns you mentioned, the metal would expand and contract at different rates than the glass, and would most likely just crack  the glass.  I've seen gears inbedded in resin, however, and they look really cool!  I'd be happy to send you some little gears to try it with, if you want.
