Spiraling Sea Sapphires Sea Glass Necklace

This necklace is entirely handmade. I made the chain, clasp and head pins with Sterling silver wire. The sea glass is entirely genuine and was found on a beach in England. It was worn smooth only by the tumbling action of England's North Sea.

Very nice!  I love sea glass and the scroll in the middle of the bead is unique!

How do you drill your holes? I have a number of beautiful glass findings that I want to use, and I drill with a diamond tipped twist drill under water....is this ok or do you have another method?

     Hi,

    The necklace is gorgeous!

Yes, I would like to know the answer to Maille Fantasy's question as well.

Drilling beads is something I've stayed away from so far, and I feel it's time to dive into something I've been afraid of.  It might not be so bad after all!

     Hi,

Thanks for the kind words about my  necklace. It is 18" long. If you are interested in drilling sea glass you will find information on my website: http://www.naturalseaglass.com/drillingseaglass.html

    Thanks,

    Hi Lisl,

Thanks for the link about drilling glass (and shells - I've often wonder how to do that - and the safety tip is great).  I love the colours and spirals in this work.
