    Mucking about with European 4-1

Here are a couple of bracelets where the European 4-1 weave has been turned around, reversed, inverted and generally played with.

    Hmmm....Very nice!

I do think I like the biased 4n1 better....the other seems a bit chaotic. That's only my opinion though! :D

    Great work!

I think the "chaotic" one might look neat with a different metal/color woven through to bring out the pattern.  Nice stuff!

I don't know maille so I don't know which one is the 4-1 and which one is "chaotic", but I adore the top one.

Thanks for the comments guys. I like the chaotic nature of the top one and it is probably my favourite one to wear. For some reason, it 'clings' to my wrist, which I adore. I did use a slightly smaller gold ring along the outside of the weave, which helps to draw it in slightly, but I do take your point that another colour helps it out.

They are both based on European 4-1, with the top one woven in several directions and the second one woven au naturel, but on the 'bias'.

For those who are unsure, here is what standard Euro 4-1 looks like

I resized all of my images to 'small' when I saved them to photobucket. Have a look on the photobucket account http://s528.photobucket.com/albums/dd321/kellyclitheroe/Jewellery/ and it should come up larger for you. Thanks for your interest. :)
