    Latest Horsehead and turquoise earrings

I've added another bend to the design suggesting the outline of the windpipe.  I think it gives a bit more balance.  The mane I did using the overaly technique from AJ!  I may try a variant working two piecs of wire at once.

What caught me by surprise is that at the silent auction this went to, the piece I made that had a bidding war was these earrings, which I thought were rather pedestrian.  Why:

That's a fine looking head you got there, nice job on the ear and bail. Nice pair of ear rings too. The only thing taht looks a little awkward is the wire that just ends in the neck.

Why?  Both pieces are nice and I think the earrings would've caused more bidding because they appeal to everyone - not everyone can envision wearing a horsehead pendant but the turquoise earrings - go with everything.  Very cute pendant design - agree with Bent that the end wire needs something to finish it off.

Any suggestions on ending the wire?  I was being semi-anatomically correct. I could either make it meet the "shoulder" (which is in some cases an arbitrary line) or "V" it down to meet the underline.  I'm learning to solder so I may eventually experiment with "closing up" the structures -- but I also want it to be clearly wire, if that makes any sense.

You could do a small loop or scroll on the end.  You could attach a bead to it.  I understand where you are coming from - it just looks like it ended there abruptly when everything else is so  finished.

Thanks for the feedback guys!  I really didn't see it that way, but now I can, kind of.  Very useful!  I shall cogitate on it.
