    Link in our signature

     Hi,

Is there a capability to configure a link in our signature? I'm not seeing the little "link" chain icon there.

    Thanks.

Me again...anyone know the answer to the above question? I have seen links in some peoples signature, but I don't know how to enable it in mine.

     Hi Betsy,

Thanks for the heads up on your question.

There are some good tips in this in the forum FAQ's at http://cs.artjewelrymag.com/artcs/faq/default.aspx .

Let's see if I can show you how my sig comes out as a link. I'll and extra space behind each "[ " and it should show the code. If not, you can reply and quote my message and it will show up all the code in your quote.

    Details at [ url=&quot;http://www.rings-things.com/Show/index.html&quot;]<font color="blue"><b><u>R&amp;T Wholesale Shows</u></b>[ /url]<font color="black">
    List of dates and cities at [ url=&quot; http://www.rings-things.com/Show/show.php&quot;] <font color="blue"><b><u>List of Cities</u></b><font color="black">[ /url]

    Does that help?

     Hi Russ,

This is just a test message to see if my own limited knowledge of html is working.

    Re: Link in our signature

Well, it's not only not working...my blog url doesn't even show up in gray (without the link)! I saved it when I wrote it into my signature under "Update Profile".

Thanks for your reply...However, I'm still confused.  (BTW, I am able to see your code). Am I supposed to be able to use html directly in the signature spot in the update profile page (like Notepad, or any html editor)? Also, just to be clear...is this the code I should use, and is it supposed to have the carrots at either end?

    <url=&quot;http://www.rings-things.com/Show/index.html&quot></url>

Of course, I replace your url with mine.

I used the external link tag <a> and </a>, but it still didn't work.

Thanks for your advice...I'll keep trying.

    Re: Link in our signature

     Oh   My   God   It worked!!!

Lori, thank you so so so so so so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone on this forum needs to know this...it's so simple. I was fixated on using those carrots (< >). I had no idea the brackets would work.

And thanks, Russ, for your input...I guess I wasn't sure where to put my url. I should have just tried the brackets anyway, since I had nothing to lose.

    Thanks again!

Betsy http://halfassedjewelryartist.blogspot.com/  Oh, I guess I don't have to do that anymore...old habit!
