Last year I tried my hand at resin. Resin and I didn't get along. I used the Castin Craft which was hard to get just right. It was flat out hard to use. Time has gone by and we parted our ways. I went to a craft show a few weeks ago and saw some neat resin work. I was told Envirotex Lite was the way to go. Well... I gave it a shot and it is wonderful! Easy to use and very fun to work with now. I made 42 pendants my first go! They turned out great! Anyway... here are a few of my favorite. I'm now adding resin to the list of mediums I now work with.
I have these up on Etsy for sale...
I'm surprised you and resin haven't gelled before. It seems a natural material/medium for what you do. It certainly looks very effective used this way. Always an admirer of your work.
Kelly.
Love the pendants! I'm glad you didn't give up on resin. I've heard that the new Ice resin is a good product. This is one medium I've added to my long list of things to learn.
I like your pieces. I have envirotex lite and can't get it to work for me. Don't know if I don't measure it carefully enough or what. I used Eugena's method from her tutorial.
Anyway, keep up the good work.
Maybe you didn't mix it thoughly enough. It's easy... 1:1 ratio...
I Love your work, resin looks really interesting and I'm thinking I want to have a go at that too, there are so many things to play with I wish I had more time! Is resin expensive to dabble with?
Helen
Thank you, I have a week off the 'proper job' next week and I'm going to try and find some of that here in the UK
I love trying out new things, I want to do glass bead making but the set up costs are preventing that at the moment
Thanks
