    colors

Something I just read in another thread (tumbler)...Sparklebee  mentioned that she hoped her swap beads didn't turn green after tumbling or we may have to consider that a Fall color  (something to that effect)...well it got me thinking..we all know the "traditional" colors of Fall...orange, yellow, reds like russet..brown I guess but I think what I am trying to say is that it's all perspective.  Blue: there's nothing like a crisp blue Autumn sky...purple: love those pots of purple mums AND yes green!!  Maine has green all year with its abundance of pines.  When we get around to the holidays what colors will pass that test?  Shoot me if I have to make something red and green!!  Anyway I guess I am really trying to prepare you for my swap beads...so when you see them for the first time you don't say "Wha the??"

Fenian! You forgot the fall pink! The color of our cheeks as we walk under the crisp blue sky.

you are so right, black is a summer color - think of the stripes of a bumble bee, the center of a daisy, the coals in the bbq, the steak I burnt because I was too busy making beads, heck - the night sky in summer is black too! I could go on. Fenian, we are prepared, unless your beads are yellow and black...

'Bee I consider yellow and black in same category as green and red!  AND Linelle you would be surprised how some "Fall" colors that bleed into another color..looks pinkish!!  I cannot get away from pink!

Im with you on this one Fenian, traditional can get soooo ho-hum. Im trying to get the courage up to do some Christmas stuff but the thought of red and green puts me over the edge.  Ive overdone red and gold in the past and cant get myself to use bright greens without wanting to hurl, and if I put green with gold everyone around here automatically thinks Green Bay Packers.  Im thinking about doing a winter white theme instead.  As for autumn, the first thing that comes to my mind is snow on the tops of my sunflowers. We get our first snow before Halloween. hmmm....that would be white with.....yellow and black! HA!  and no, my beads arent those colors, I went traditional.
