    Mollie's Bead

Recently we had a bead swap in the PC forum.  Although I loved each bead, this bead made by Mollie is one of my favorites. Choker length, I use green and bronze niobium wire www.theringlord.com and drill twisted with reddish copper wire.  Mollie's bead is the focal flanked by Greek ceramic beads and copper beads  from  www.rings-things.com   I made a copper and niobium toggle clasp you cannot see in the photo from Delia's tute  www.deliastone.com  Thanks for looking!

Mollie's focal bead is awesome and I'm thrilled it's among the treasures of our bead swap. And you Fenian put it to good use. I like the colors and textures you incorporated. I love love love those disk beads. Beautiful work!

as I said in the other thread, you did an outstanding job here. the beads match the focal perfectly in both color, shape and style. I bet you will get lots of compliments on it when you wear it!

You did such a nice job showcasing Mollie's Bead - dare the rest of us show what we did/are doing with our Mollies  Beads?  I keep looking at this because you took something that on the surface SEEMS so simple and turned it into something that's got some nice contrast and complexity.  Kudos.

Thanks everyone and a BIG thank you to Mollie for this bead! ( It has inspired me to try this "technique".)  I plan to incorporate every bead from the swap into a design although many won't be focals....Sparklebee's beautiful heart is next!

Thanks Mollie! But if I didn't have that beautiful focal there would not be any necklace!

'Bee I have your design all set ( in my head) and will be working on it this week...I promise a "organic" look! (no swars in this piece!)
