    Looking for a used kiln

    Hello All!

I am looking for a gently used kiln for use with enamel jewelry, currently using a torch for firing with mixed results but would like to move up to a kiln. Searches on Ebay are not proving too successful.

Does anyone know of other cites where people go to sell used equipment?

    Thanks in advance!

I see used kilns on craigslist.org often enough that I remember seeing them.  Just now, on my city's for sale board there are 7 listed - now I don't know if they are for enamel or pottery, but it's worth a look on your city's board.

Thank you karen, I didn't even think of that site, probably because I can not hit that cite from work (which means I should be working instead of dreaming about enamels!) Tink

Re: Looking for a used kiln

If you're in a rush to get one I can't help.  But if you're like me...."time is the mainstay of the poor"...Just keep you're eye's open on ebay...  especially after the christmas season....

In with the new , out with the old.

I purchased my two kilns at different times, reasonably on ebay (see Newbie Question...Trinket..this thread)

It just takes time.  And I have a lot of that.  Just be patient.

Just FYI I'm currently bidding on a Vibratory Tumbler  that's broken.  The Gamble....Is it  really broken or do the armature brushes on the motor need replacing?  I've been looking at tumblers for months then this popped up.  The same person was selling two other similar tumblers that were working and were snatched up.  So far no one wants to outbid my $0.99 for the broken one.

Update:   Got the 5# Tumbler for $2.37 and it arrived working.
