    Max Jumbo Torch

I was wondering if anybody has used the Max Jumbo torch and what their experience with it is. I hear it's relatively new on the market and it supposedly works more like a bigger torch, covering more area with a flame that burns hotter and faster than most other butane torches.

The two suppliers I asked had very little information about instructions for it and I have not been able to get an answer as to what type of solder works best with it. Both suppliers did seem to think it could handle gold soldering, but I have not been able to obtain information on how thick a piece it can handle and how big a bezel.

I also was not able to find out what the burn time is on it before it has to be refilled and whether the torch is easy to fill with standard butane refills.

I would be very interestested to know what people have been able to do with this torch and if they are happy with the results.

I'm still hoping somebody can report on one of these.

I've never tried one of these particular torches, but it will really depend on what you want to do.  If you want to solder anything over a 2 in by 2 in square then your going to be better off getting something like a acetalyne B tank with a smith type torch, or more commonly called a plumbers torch.  They work great for small scale soldering to medium type things.   Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
