Buying PMC3 in Tokyo and flying with it to the UK

    Hi,

I'm hoping to visit Japan later this year on the way back from a business trip. Does anyone know how much PMC3 retails for in Japan (e.g. a 16g packet), please? I know I can get it at Tokyu Hands department store, as I e-mailed Mitsubishi and asked them, but they don't have an English website.

Also, how do I get it through airline security? Does it have to go in the hold? I don't want them ripping open the packets and then thinking it's some kind of explosive!

    many thanks

I am not sure of the cost in Japan.

As far as going through airport security in the US with it - I don't. I'm also afraid they would open the packages for inspection. I have heard of people packing their metal clay together with a book on metal clay in case they have to explain what it is. But, people in Toyko surely should be more accustomed to seeing packages of metal clays go through scanners. What would happen in the UK though?

I hope someone else chimes in on this. I travel back and forth from the east coast to Nevada but I ship the metal clays via USPS.  It would be much easier to tuck it in my suitcase.

    Hi Georgia,

I haven't traveled outside the US, so I cannot help you .. but I am curious also about what the price difference would be if you purchased it directly there.

I hope that your travels go safely, and would love it if you would report back later, on your travels and information on the PMC purchase.

Sadly the Tokyo trip has had to be postponed for work reasons but I'll manage it one of these days! It would still be interesting to hear of anyone's experience of transiting airport security with metal clay
