    Turquoise Fusion

This fusion piece uses pearlescent polymer clay which, unfortunately, doesn't photograph real well so you can't really pick up the depth of the shimmer.  Enjoy!

Drool napkin please! Ohhh Jilla this is soooooo beautiful!  I am so impressed with your work...you just keep getting better and better with each new piece that you post.  I feel like I am playing with play-doh next to a very skilled artisan.  Wonderful work!

Oh-oh now I feel stupid Jilla...what do you mean by "Fusion"?

    Re: Turquoise Fusion

Fusion is the word I use to describe this type of work. It's where wire techniques meet clay techniques and join together, or fuse.  What I like about it when a piece comes together well is that neither the wire nor the clay is dominant; they are balanced and present a cohesive and united appearance.  Hence "fushion" as I couldn't think of a better word.

Beautiful Jilla!!! You've got the touch. I'm amazed at how this all comes together, without one aspect overshadowing the others. I can't imagine the patience doing the detail work. Good job!!!

I now pronounce you the clay-wire fusion queen!!!!!!!!! Amazing how you've done this... it merges both so beautifully.
