Hi there!  I'm new to the forum and would like to ask the experts a couple of questions about gold. I predominantly work in silver, but when you get a specific request for a piece I guess you have to go with it.

 First off, what is the best way to polish?  It does not come out of the pickle the way silver does, and I need to clean it up and polish.  Should I use a flex shaft to hand polish, or will a tumbler do the trick?

Also, I'd like to put a matte finish on part of the piece; what's the best way to do that? Brass brush? Pumice powder? Other?
