how to push a bezel over a cab in tight places?

If I would like to set a cab that is obstructed on one side (say, it's touching a "wall" of silver on one side), how do I push the bezel and burnish it in the obstructed area?  I can close the metal over the stone on all the other sides but can't get a tool into the area where it's touching the other object.  Would you file the bezel into a bit of a taper on that edge so then you could get something thin (like a razor blade) in next to it to push in over the stone?  Any advice would be appreciated.

Well I guess your between a rock and a hard spot. No way to get a burnisher in? I thought not.  Have you tried polishing a small, thin screwdriver blade and working that into the space. You have? Sorry I'm out of ideas.

Can you send us a pic of the problem area?

I don't have a picture because it's a project I'm just starting.  But I heard some good advice - bend the bezels a little at the top edge before soldering, so they don't get completely soldered together, then bend them back out to get the stones in, then use something sharp to get between them again to push them over.

Have you tried to cut a tooth brush handle down to size to fit into the tight corner? I have a friend who swears by this it will not scratch and you can get quite a bit of pressure on it , unless it is a very tiny space. Also good for burnishing.

great idea about the toothbrush!  I also recently had some success with the smooth edge of a dental pick.
