We're delighted that you enjoyed seeing Gordon's work on the cover of the May 2009 issue of AJ! All the editors here at the magazine are admirers of Gordon's wonderful metal clay jewelry and objects. This is his second cover for AJ -- the September 2006 issue featured a brooch that Gordon made. As well as his article, "Fire, Paste, Refire," which demonstrates how to repurpose fired metal clay pieces with the help of metal clay oil paste!

Will you by chance be attending the Metal Clay World Conference this July? If so, I hope to see you there and get a chance to talk with you in person. Gordon will be there, and I'm anxious to see his latest work.

I was tickled when I received the latest issue of the magazine. I recognized the work right away. Gordon is a friend of mine on another forum & has been very forthcoming with information to help fledgling and intermediate metal clay artists. In fact he has inspired me to try using the medium - just got some clay and am going to give it a try.

He is an extremely talented artisan - I was thrilled to see him getting recognized for his fine contribution to the art jewelry community.
