I agree. I laughed when I read that your husband looked at you funny when you said men's jewellery. Mine wears a necklace I made, a ring I made for him when we first started going out and if we're out on the town, he'll wear a bracelet too. They're all in MAN PROPORTIONS, with big links and heavy looking pieces. He does it to 'help me'. Hahaha. He was pretty impressed with your stuff, though. I think it appeals to the pracical side in us. And since we both work with our hands (he's a panel beater) they are familiar bits and pieces, just much prettier. Play with the stuff when it's dirty and greasy, then wear it out when it's clean and pretty. It's a nice thought.

I like it very much, it is more interesting than the ones I have seen in books. I think painting the parts makes a big difference.

Thank you Kelly for your kind words. It's funny that you've mentioned jewelry for men. I just spoke about it last night with my husband and he looked at me as if I came from another planet! but it's something that I need to more look into it.

Love it! Love that you have made it so colourful rather than leaving it look 'industrial'. Have you thought about a mens range....leaving it a little more au natural? Hahaha, my bloke threatened to give me a hose clamp as an engagement ring.

It's great to see someone using materials other than standard 'jewellery' findings and beads without it looking like a car engine or micro chipboard. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Hello Freda and thank you for your reply.

I use "Gorilla clear bond" - it's a clear strong craft glue which I bought in the hardware store. Once it's dried, it's very strong. The coloured donuts are washers too. I paint them in acrylic paint and seal them in acrylic sealer for protection.

Just love your hardware jewelry. What glue do you use to fasten the washers etc. together? Are the large colored sparkly donuts washers too?
