That's one of my problems...I tend to start someting ...put hours into it ...then want to start something else before finishing the other. At least I have stopped buying so much stuff...I have plenty to work with!

Good to see you. I made some of those tiles and, depending on the texture and color, they can look exactly like real ceramic.

I haven't picked up a piece of clay since Christmas. Totally lost my creative mojo. Plus deciding I was making way too many beads for someone no longer interested in making jewelry. But, never say never...I'm open to it all returning.

Quite a while back, I tried out covering wall switch plates. One was using textured faux jade, antiqued, and highlighted with gold paint. I stuck it on a switch and thought, it's okay, but sort of sticks out like a sore thumb.

Fast forward to a week ago, when my house interior was finally done being painted. My bedroom is a really pretty soft sage green. The switchplates were going back on the wall, and I tried the faux jade one just to see how it would look. Wow! The greens aren't a match, but they look good together. Suddenly the switchplate had some relevance. It stands out, but it also sorta blends in.

Re: Still around...would like to try this tute!

hey you! some of us are still here, even if only to check in now and then. nice to see you.
