The National Association of Independent Artists (NAIA) invites all artists – members and non-members alike– to join us for The 9th Art Festival Directors / Artists Summit Conference, to will be held Thursday & Friday, September 24 - 25, 2009 in Peoria, Illinois, immediately prior to the Peoria Fine Art Fair. This unique event, produced by NAIA, is the only one of its kind that is geared directly to the needs and issues of arts festivals and artists, and provides an unparalleled opportunity to meet, network, problem solve and energize with show directors from around the country. Joint sessions for artists and show directors will be presented on Thursday morning. Artist specific sessions continue on Thursday afternoon. Sessions for show directors continue through Friday. HELP?? February Tucson Show- where to start?????

OK I am hoping I didn't bite off more than I can chew. I am totally new at this...buying gems and minerals and I have taken the plunge and now looking at the different shows...I am hyper-ventilating! Where to begin? How do you know good vendors? Does anyone have any suggestions for finding reputable dealers...looking for pearls...turquoise,amber...gemstones Does anyone have any direction or suggestion on how to dothis besides jump in...which it appears i have done. I design jewelry and I sell small scale but I like good quality. Also does anyone know anyone who sells Turkish silver//?? much thanks

Advice for Tucson Show

I currently live in Costa Rica and will be in Arizona in February. I would like to attend the Tucson show to buy basic tools and some materials (cabachons, stones etc.). I will have one day to do this but cannot seem to wade through all the info to figure out the right day to attend.

Can anyone offer some advice. I am total newbie but prefer to learn using my own files, etc. Thanks.

For those of you that don't know Lee Marshall's name he is the world reknown designer of the original Bonny Doon Hydraulic Press! He will be demonstrating his new baby - the Knew Concept Saw (both Manual & Power).

West Coast Artists has been asked to produce an art show the first
weekend of each month at the "Simi Valley Town Center" starting in the
month of June!

The Simi Valley Town Center is a beautiful new facility (2 years old)
with an upscale clientele. The center boasts stores such as Coach,
Abercrombie and Fitch, Coldwater Creek, Ann Taylor, Macy's and Cache.
Popular reaturants such as Red Fish, California Pizza Kitchan and Dakota's Steakhose are also at the center. For more information on the Simi Valley Town Center you can visit their website at www.simivalleytc.com.

The space fee for the initial show in June will be very reasonable with
