In order to post images, you first need to have a
place that will host your pictures. You may want to check with your ISP
(Internet Service Providers - example: AOL, MSN, Earthlink, etc.). Most
ISPs provide their customers with 5-10MB of space for the purpose of
hosting personal web pages and pictures. Other Web sites that host pictures include:
Once you have a host for your pictures, you will need the URL or the location/address of the image.
A URL looks something like this:
http://www.artjewelrymag.com/art/objects/images/art070701.jpg
To post an image:
1.) Click on the "Insert/edit image" button, located on the forum tool bar. (It looks like a tree against a blue background.)
2.) Copy your photo's URL and paste it into the "Image URL" box.
3.) Click "Insert."
4.) Your photo should appear.
Our online department has recently added code to automatically resize images. If you encounter problems with this, please let us know.
NOTE:
The new forum software does not display a tool bar if you have a Mac
and use Safari. If you have a Mac, please use Firefox for your browser
while participating on the forum. If you prefer to use Safari, you will
need to format your posts and insert images using HTML.
