I finally finished the piece, except for running over it with rouge to give it a final polish, which I'll do on Wednesday.
The Haiku poem reads: At silent noontide, far across the flower fields, hear the sighing sea.
I soldered all of the large rings and modified the pendant piece slightly from my original picture. I'm glad it's finished and I will probably take it down to the local artsy crafy store and see if they'll flog it for me.
Each leaf is individual and has tool marks etc. as no leaf in nature, is identical to another. The leaves are 16G Sterling SIlver. The clasp is handmade and only the jump rings (20G 5mm, 18G 6.5mm, 20G 4 and 3.25mm and 20G 2.5mm) are not handmade. The components are all Sterling Silver. The sea glass was found, reshaped very slightly and drilled by me.
