Hello, all!
To be succinct, I am a jewelry crafting newbie.
I am currently unemployed, and am using this time to explore this passion and make enough money to get by doing so (at least for the time being). I am just beginning to learn the ropes of jewelry-crafting on my own--haven't read any books on the subject (I consulted Mr.Wallet at the bookstore and Mr.Wallet said no).
My goal in this community is not only to learn from you. I hope to gain many of you as friends, people who I can bounce ideas off of and vice versa.
So I am calling any and all of the following to reply:
1. Fellow novices--we can relate to one another, and learn together (it's always nice to know you aren't the only one struggling with wire wrapping/techniques, etc.)
2. Masters of technique and knowledge, especially in the areas of:
a. Wire--wrapping it, beading it, creating components, weaving it, etc.
b. Beading
c. Finding the best ways/places to purchase inexpensive supplies (without compromising high quality)(and without having to have a tax id no.)**
3. Anyone and everyone who is interested in bonding over our mutual interest in this craft :)
I would be
honored to be associated with such a group of highly-skilled artists, and look forward to communicating with you.
Sincerely,
B.
** I have looked into getting a tax ID no. in order to qualify for wholesale deals on many Web sites. HOWEVER, it would take over a month for them to authorize it for use. I need to be selling sooner.
