Do you not allow links to blogs? I posted my input to the discussion about using unusual things to make jewelry, and put in a link to my blog, but when I clicked on it, it took me back to the discussion list of the forum.

 Sorry that I didn't see your post earlier. I've been battling the spambots lately.

Anyway, I'm not sure what the problem is. You should be able to link to your blog.

• What browser are you using - the forum plays better with some more than others. 
• And are you using coding, or just typing the address in as text? 

Let's see where that line of questioning gets us.

That's ok...someone's got to battle those spambots.

I'm using Firefox... I've tried clicking my bloglink in Explorer and get the same thing.

I write the link in text (or paste it-easier!)...here it is:

http://halfassedjewelryartist.blogspot.com/

I highlight it, click on the chain (link) icon above, and hit "insert". That changes it to blue. But when I click on it, it takes me to the discussion list instead of to my blog.  Maybe the problem is, isnstead of clicking "insert" in that window, I'm supposed to put the url int the space at the top line in that window?.??...It's worth a try.

Anyway, what do you get when you click on my link?

It worked! Please continue your quest to rid the world of spambots  ...I, the hopeless non-teckie, fixed my own problem.

That was it...I had to paste the url of my blog into that line that says "url" (duh . It wasn't enough to highlight and insert.

I'm so happy that the problem was so easily fixed!  What a rare treat.

I loved reading your sequential posts this morning in my inbox. After I read the first one, I knew what the problem was. Then I saw your second, test posting and thought, "Well she's going to figure this out on her own." And then there was your final happy message. And it turns out that you didn't even need any help from me.

Well done.

The cool thing about the link tool is that you can highlight just any regular text, and then insert a web address link for it - it doesn't need to state the address directly.  Like this!  Okay, that was a bit of Friday silliness, but you get the point. And if you want to unlink something, just highlight it and then click on that broken chain icon up above in the text editor.

I'm so sorry I didn't see your post till now...more than a whole month later! I sssooo apologize! I'm so glad you like my blog...it's so nice to know it doesn't suck (you know...the whole lack-of-confidence-thing you get when you first start something). I really need to get on and post my thoughts, photos, or both very soon.

Now if I can just get this link-in-my-signature-problem solved!?!
