Bleh, has anyone noticed the increase of gold prices within the past month?

I ordered some yellow and rose gold rings from Golden Maille and now the prices have increased a good $7/oz.  I'm happy I bought the rings when I did (and didn't wait for my birthday!).  Now I have to savor the gold rings I do have...

 ?????? I don't understand why The Ring Lord is getting a bad rap here.  Golden Maille rings are US$53.14 per troy ounce, whereas TRL's are US$28.50 - $31.60 per avoirdupois ounce (depending upon the ring size).  24g runs from $40.55 to $43.65.  Although I'm the first to admit, this ain't cheap, it still makes TRL a relatively great deal, IMHO.....or am I missing something here?

 

FWIW, the market price of gold has actually dropped over the past month by about $36; they're now practically giving it away at $648 per ounce!!!!

 

 

Good point... maybe I'll order some rings from TRL and try them out... couldn't hurt.   I'm just weird and I like my ID measured in mm... the English system bothers me when it comes to calculations... must be the engineer talking.

All I can say is, brace yourself.  Spot price of gold has been marching up all week, and likely to continue.
