    Earwires with a ball

Please, I'd like to know what kind of silver to use (SS or fine) and the right gauge for this earwires. Torch, flux, solder, etc.?

    Thanks in advance!

     Hi, Elena,

Have you seen Art Jewelry's instructions on making balled ear wires? This might help: http://www.artjewelrymag.com/art/Default.aspx?c=a&id=704

We also have videos on this. Learn to ball the wire, then learn to shape the ear wires.

    I hope this helps.

Katie, thank you sooooo much! I've looking for this answer for so long! I can make headpins out of fine silver but I was interested in making earwires too!. My problem was not just the technique but also the type of silver and gauge and those videos were great!

    Regards,

    Elena
