reposting as I can't find my question asked...

I want to find out if there is a way to see the threads that have not been viewed BY CATEGORY???  I see the since previous log-on, but that is just one list and I have no desire or time to go through them ALL ..

Also, when replying to a thread, is there a way to see the previous replies?  sometimes you want to respond to a few people in one post and need to look back at all the posts while responding ...

Please help me on these two issues ..

edited to say .. actually I just found my previous question and it was in the other category to the Editor's, to Hazel - which I have still not received a response!

     Hi Kazoom,

I'm sorry that I didn't respond to your question. Hazel has been out of the office all week, which is why she didn't respond either.

If you want to view posts that you have not seen in a specific category, such as metalsmithing, go to Shortcuts (right side of the screen on the main page), click on posts you haven't read, then on that page, you'll notice a drop down box at the top that says something like "all forums." If you click on the arrow, the specific forums are listed. You can click on just the category you'd like to view new posts in.

If you want to view the other posts when replying, click reply as usual. When the window opens, click on the "reltated" tab next to compose. It will bring up a list of the other posts in that thread. Click on the tab, and it should bring up the full posts in a new window. You can go back to "compose" to write your post, referring to the other list for previous posts. This is how I've been viewing them; I hope it works for you, too. I will try to find out if there are other ways to see them all.

If you have other questions, or if my explanation didn't make sense, please ask.
