What to take to a first time meeting at a new shop?

Hi there I have been selling in a shop for almost two years now. The owner foundme at an Arts & Crafts show and requested to carry my items. My more artsy pieces do not sell in her shop, my more conservative pieces made with pearls, crystals, and some glass sell best there. Here my new problem... I met an Interior Designer through the shop. He has referred me to another shop owner in the next town south of me. He is going to facilitate a meeting between myself and the shop owner. This shop owner did not find me, she has not seen my work at all. I have not seen the inside of her shop. She is from Laguna beach and I am in the mid-west. I think it is my opportunity to sell some of my more artsy pieces in a shop. But the designer has not seen those pieces, he has seen my conservative pieces and think that it would be perfect for her shop. So do I take my conservative pieces and my artsy or one or the other? I don't want to take a ton, just maybe three trays (you know the black travel trays), or four maybe. I also want to take some of my husbands metalsmithing pieces, it is mostly rings, but they are unique in our area. What do you think? I do appreciate some advise. I am nervous and excited. My ultimate goal is to have my own shop where I can sell my jewelry and art from area artists, like a year round art show. I have been working towards that goal since my job was eliminated due to funding cuts almost two years ago. The first shop owner found me the same week I lost my job, things have just been moving right along ever since. Lets hope it keep going that way! Jenny

I'm confused, is the shop owner from Laguna Beach or the town south of you? Why not just ask the shop owner before your meeting which types of styles she prefers? Otherwise, just bring some of each style and let her pick. If the shop is in Laguna Beach I would bet they want more artsy and unique pieces, as that is a high-end artsy tourist destination.

She lives in Laguna Beach and owns a shop in Missouri, in the next town over from me. Sorry for the confusion. I already met with her anyway. She did not appear very professional and her shop is very high end. She started out as a high end florist and is now getting into high end gifts. The meeting went great, she liked everything I brought, which was a mix of artsy and conservative pieces along with my husbands metalsmithing pieces and borosilicate glass. I will be stocking her store on Monday. Wish us luck, I hope it turns out good. I do so well in the other shop here in my town that I am afraid this will be a flop. But it may be great! Jenny
