I have tried to develop a unique design style and always try and keep true to the sea glass itself.
I was initially inspired to make jewelry using sea glass after seeing several pieces by a lady name Katherine Bouchard, a sea glass jewelry legend on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Katherine has been making sea glass for over 28 years, though I am sure there are many others out there that have been doing it MUCH longer. Every coastal town has someone that has been making sea glass jewelry since time out of mind.
My designs reflect my love for the sea and nature, and of course, my love for the glass. Simplicity is sometimes best when using sea glass, you don't want to cover up the lovely texture with too much design.
Lately I have been doing silver work and have created a NEW style of bezel set jewelry that though it is fully backed in fine silver, leaves portions of the glass open around the edges.
