About Asta Remeikaite

When I was at university, I always enjoyed working in the arts: graphics, sculpture, drawing, painting and collage. Most thought after completion of my studies in exact sciences, I might be interested in a continuation of my work in the arts. I feel I have chosen an interesting direction, something that is creative and involves many of the art mediums that have fascinated me in the past. After school I went to live in a foreign country and currently I am studying a new language, and plan to continue in other schooling. It seems, that my creative mind and interests never left me even after choosing a different direction of living. This change came to me through jewelry. I have found my art, my passion - creating jewelry. It came into my life sometime last year, and since then I never spend a day without making something new. For now I'm just searching my way through experiment and work, trying to discover which technique and process is more suitable for me. I am always searching new shapes and mediums and so on. Creating these pieces you see here gives me allot of joy, they are full of emotions and what I feel I have always meant to do. And in this light, it is the only way that I can create beautiful objects. Hugs, Asta
