Lucila Nassau used metal clay and fine-silver wire to make the pendant Nyama. Cubic zirconia and Swarovski crystals adorn the piece. Referring to nyama, the West African belief that some people are born with the ability to control nature, she says, “Everything in nature, including man, posses[es] an indwelling power, a dynamic spirit, a vital breath.” 4 in.
