Julie Jerman-Melka cut and carved the base of Commemorative Locket from a granite pebble, and the top is a quartz stone. The 1 1⁄4 x 1 1⁄4 x 1-in. (32 x 32 x 25.5 mm) piece is also sterling, metal clay, garnet, and pearl. “Many of my days at the ‘office’ consist of walks along beaches and hiking.
