Playa del Sol
While on vacation in Mexico, Deborah Fehrenbach fell in love with these red coral beads that she cut in half to form cabochons. For Playa del Sol, she cut, drilled, and waxed mahogany, and she fabricated tube beads of sterling silver. The bracelet is 2½ x 3½ x 3½ in. (64 x 89 x 89mm). This piece appeared in the July 2007 issue of Art Jewelry. Photo by Michael D-L Jordan.
