I just got home from the PMC Conference in Indiana and was anxious to get the new bronze clay in my hands. I was happy to see that when I arrived home my order from Rio Grande had arrived as well. Last night I began my work. And like a crying baby it kept me up all night. I could hardly wait to open my kiln this morning.
This piece was created from a mold I made. The BC worked very nicely with the mold and captures details beautifully. This is the same mold I used for my PMC charms for the "charm swap" at the conference.
The piece was sintered using the coconut carbon and has some nice coloring. Ive not brushed or tumbled the piece. I really dont think its needed.
FYI: One note is the Rio Grande catalog has a misprint regarding the two activated carbons they are offering. The coconut gives color while the coal-based preserves the bronze color.
