Chairs by Adrienne Grafton.
Copper, steel, silver.
Approximately 2 - 4 in.
Wonderfully creative and original with a retro feel. I can't decide whether this work reminds me more of happy memories at grandmother's house or ya-ya chairs or working in the past at Charity Hospital of New Orleans, a beautiful but antiquated Art Deco building that Katrina all but destroyed. Most of the the treatment rooms has beautiful Craftsman brushed steel utilitarian designed chairs that I now see being reproduced and prominently featured in design magazines. I know this is a lot of words, but these evoke lots of feeling. That's a wonderful accomplishment. Take great pride! You deserve it!!!
