  • Merry All the Time (Hollow Bead)

I had a commisioned trade with a friend fro this one - she gave me free rein and lots of time - I'm very glad she did! I was stuck after the two halves in the second shot, and it took me a while to work out what I wanted for the center, as well as how to achieve it.  The finished bead is 2.25in. by 1.0 in. - a larger focal. She wants me ...

  • Re: How do you do it?? Respect for wire wrappers

I think this is a dang good start! Very neat for a first try, and that is saying something. Most Firsts in wire are a tangly mess in one way or another. Perhaps the fiddly bits are what dampen your enthusiasm. I say go for some very simple fully wrapped rings - the ones that teach you spirals and what the wire likes to do and then resists. ...

  • re: Collecting stones along Agate Beach at Patrick's Point state park, California

Thanks for showcasing the beauty of our little corner of heaven, Jill! I live about 15 miles south of Patrick's Point and enjoy the scenery daily. Agate hunting here is the best! One of our local chocolate shops makes organic chocolate slugs that look surprisingly authentic - should I send you folks some? LOL Thanks, and visit again some ...
  • Good Morning Starshine Ring

This ring is a slight variation on my Goodnight Moon ring, which belongs to my daughter-in-law. Many folks have asked for how to make something like this - now we'll be able to learn together!  I've been busy developing classes for my time at Grand River Beads in Ohio the first week of October -this will be one of them. Sterling ...

  • Re: (Unfinished) Haiku necklace

I absolutely adore this! Beautifully done! It is especially wonderful that you've taken a pic of how it drapes on the wearer's neck - what a gorgeous line.......  Perri

  • Re: EYEBALL Wire Wrap Pendant

Pretty good for your first time, Matthew. With all your experience, I'm sure you'll figure out a way to close the gaps and neaten weave on the next one! I'll second the vote for VanDyke's taxidermy - The quality is fantastically eery. I have one of Bobbi's rings - they are a perfect combination of freaky weird and ...

  • Re: My Blue Heaven and Citrine Cathedral Rings

Cynthia, Thanks for looking at these. Sorry, I've been fighting with my computer and this site....don't know what is up with that!   Anywho - these are made completely with sterling - I make very long, very fine coils and cut them to size, crimping the ends in place. I usually do this with a drill so that I can concentrate on ...

  • My Blue Heaven and Citrine Cathedral Rings (WITH PICS!!!!)

I've been in a ring kind of mood lately. I haven't worked with faceted, undrilled stones all that much - but these came out very well, I think! Let me know how you see it..... Whew! Finally got them to post! Although I had to change photo hosts to do it. :^(( These are the links to my Flickr, too: My Blue Heaven   and  ...

  • Re: It HAS been a while!

Did you ever do something so silly you couldn't see straight about it? Well, I forgot to enable my email on this post, and hadn't reinforced the habit of checking the forum yet. So everybody, please forgive my tardiness in saying thank you! Keeping track on the web isn't as easy as it used to be, or maybe I'm just getting ...
