Merry All the Time (Hollow Bead)

I had a commisioned trade with a friend fro this one - she gave me free rein and lots of time - I'm very glad she did! I was stuck after the two halves in the second shot, and it took me a while to work out what I wanted for the center, as well as how to achieve it.

The finished bead is 2.25in. by 1.0 in. - a larger focal. She wants me to 'cook' it -that means an LOS treatment, LOL. I think that is a good idea - more detail and drama in the piece. The photos are quick 'n dirty, plus I was trying out a weird grainy texture, almost newsprinty. I'll stick to the basics next time....

So anyway - any thoughts or questions?

At first I like to thank Maille_Fantasy for taking the initiative, I think it is a great thought to make a theme for every month.

I like to add my necklace to this theme.

Summer and flowers always go hand in hand. My flower is "Crystal Flower" and this makes my flower to be everlasting :) I'm still amazed about that stalactite - what a beautiful artwork made by nature!

Good Morning Starshine Ring

This ring is a slight variation on my Goodnight Moon ring, which belongs to my daughter-in-law. Many folks have asked for how to make something like this - now we'll be able to learn together! I've been busy developing classes for my time at Grand River Beads in Ohio the first week of October -this will be one of them.

Sterling silver coiled and woven into the band - a sapphire blue CZ encased in wire and pearls. I'll upload pics of the LOS'd version later. :^))

The flower focal point is constructed from Sterling silver wire.

The silver double fox tail chain is made up of individual fine silver (99.9% pure) jump rings that are fused and woven together, to create a round, ropelike quality. This type of chain is sometimes called a Roman Chain.
