One of them was a creativity crisis. So many people try their skills in wire-wrapping and so many of them are gifted to become successful :) I think it's time for me to turn into some new style if I want my pieces to be different from what other wire-wrappers do :)

Here's the Mechanic ring. This project is my tribute to one of my favourite jewellery designers - Jacek Byczewski.

Unique construction combines 7 thin hammered sterling silver rings which were hammered and polished with a circle made in wire-wrapping and oxidised, brushed and polished as well. Joining them with a thin stripe of sterling sheet (oxidised and polished to dark grey) makes it possible to move the circle around the seven rings. It's a perfect ring for those who need to release their stress somehow ;)

Three colours of silver closed in this mechanic nature of the ring will surely make it a favourite piece of jewelry for those who enjoy unique solutions. This modern, ascetic path is what I'm going to continue in my creative development. I hope you'll enjoy this...

I'm playing with convex forms, trying to see what else except from swirls and curvy lines can be made in wire-wrapping and it turns out you can make every shape and style with this technique :)

Here are some of my latest works :)

Here's a pair of earrings I completed yesterday. I'm now working on a pendant with the same square design.

These are really tiny (only 4.5cm with earwires) but were really time-consuming. The frame is three-dimensional and was created of 5 soldered and frames wrapped together with a stitch I'm often using for the bands of my rings.

These were made to practice making convex forms. I really like the colour combo in them :)

This pendant was commissioned by one of my best customers. She's sent me this citrine moon and aksed to enclose it in a medallion in a shape of a sun. Stitches on the frame resemble rays of light...

This is a set made to match a wedding gown - it was really time-consuming due to the number of beads wiven into it.

And these are cuff-links made for the groom - the future husband of the customer who's ordered the set pictured above. I had fun while making them and I'll be making more because this design seems to fit many tastes ;)

I hope you've enjoyed watching those pictures. For more, please visit my gallery :)

Every time he invites Johnny Depp to participate in his projects the effect of their cooperation is absolutely gorgeous. The latest movie they've made together is Sweeney Todd - The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Todd, known in the past as Benjamin Barker, takes revenge on people who deprived him of everything he loved and turned his life into a nightmare. His silver razor is his best friend - with this razor and a little help from the obsessive meat-pie shop owner - Mrs. Lovett (stunning creation of Helena Bonham-Carter) he gets rid of his enemies, one by one.
My favourite moment of this musical is when Sweeney finds a box with his razors hidden under the floor of his old room. Just like them, he has spent many years locked out of sight. He promises that soon they will drip rubies...

The razor was made of hand-cut sterling silver sheet, various gauges of sterling and fine silver wires and faceted rubies. It was heavily oxidised and polished to shine just like Sweeney's razor. A double chain adorned with rubies and finished with an interesting clasp makes the whole design complete.

It is a piece for someone as crazy about this movie as I am :)

They are not drilled so setiing them is even a greater fun for me :D

The first one is white amethyst. Here's a pendant I've made with it and some rainbow moonstone briolettes:

And heres what I finished today - a penant featuring the most gorgeous bead I've ever seen - mystic topaz - and other beautiful stones: apatite, kyanite, iolite and amethyst. Just look how this topaz glows with all shades of blue, green and violet!

Since I don't make them too often it was a real challenge. Here's the outcome of my work. After watching the third part for the fourth time, this time on DVD, I've come up with a crazy idea of soldering a large key to Davy Jones' chest, in which he has put his heart. Then I thought that the key needs the chest itself. I wanted to make a small chest that still could be opened and closed to treasure something inside. This tiny thing (measuring 1.2'' by 1.2'' by 0.8'') was made in 4 days. I have adorned it with various hand-crafted ornaments, a filigree net and topaz and labradorite stones. The chest opend and closes and there's a heart of red chalcedony inside of it. The whole piece is adorned with a huge labradorite marquise and topaz briolette I have received from a very special person. The necklace was made in sterling and fine silver and oxidised.
It will be really difficult for me to part with this piece - I've put all of my heart into it, almost literally ;)
The key is 2.6'' long
The double chain measures 24''

These earrings are the first piece of jewelry from my new mixed metals series. Copper combined with silver, faceted pearl in black and copper shades, copper freshwater pearls and onyx were closed in a shape of long drops. The earrings were oxidised what gives them this mysterious character.

Length of earrings without hand-crafted sterling earwires: 4.5cm (1.8'')
