Recently we had a bead swap in the PC forum. Although I loved each bead, this bead made by Mollie is one of my favorites. Choker length, I use green and bronze niobium wire www.theringlord.com and drill twisted with reddish copper wire. Mollie's bead is the focal flanked by Greek ceramic beads and copper beads from www.rings-things.com I made a copper and niobium toggle clasp you cannot see in the photo from Delia's tute www.deliastone.com Thanks for looking!

Of course I loved every one of the beads from the swap and although I am taking a break from PC, I am putting some long over due projects together. I just love this bead! I used niobium and copper wire drill twisted as I wanted a choker. Copper and mykonos ceramic beads. Hope you like it..especially Mollie!

I am more then willing to be the swap mistress on the next one. Do we want to stay with the seasons and do winter next? If not, some one else gets to pick the theme!

I have a whole month off between December and January but I think with all the Holidays that might make things to stressfull. How do you think about a deadline in the middle of February?

I know that it is only September but time flys when you are in school! There is never enough of it to go around. Think about it, I say that we don't shut off the sign up until the end of October. That would give us three monthes to ,yell and be. While planning what to take to the in-laws, parents or wherever you go! (I am personally looking for a warm private beach- with a few cabana boys thrown in!)

Oh, Mollie... what are you taking in grad school? I just started my Masters in Education.

I am taking a break from PC at the moment....Despite all my whining, I do like challenges and although this really wasn't considered a challenge..for me it was...I think we all want to impress each other with our creations and I am well aware of the great skill that many of you have....anyway I am so burnt on powders right now ....I WANT a tumbler!!! I need to expand....don't want to get stuck with just clay and powders....there is so much I want to do...maybe when I get all my beauties from you 'Bee I will get some inspiration to try something different. And please don't apologize..it was and still is a great idea..one of the things in my life at the moment that makes me happy is creating with PC AND this great group of people!

Yipppy!!!! I JUST sent my beads out!!! A couple of boo-boos though...First I sent out only fifteen...out of all those beads..only those passed the test..so don't send me one 'Bee...trust me I have plenty....they are not perfect by any means...went with warts,pimples, dings, scratches (mostly on the back thank goodness) but I will never again make beads covered totally with powders..it's just too difficult...I put them in the oven and they looked pretty much smooth all over and then when I take them out..there's the flaws! (This is where sanding comes in but you cannot with powders)...then after sealing the package..I forgot to put in the two dollars!!! So those have been mailed in a separate envelope. I guess I got a bit too stressed out with this swap...I know my limitations, skill wise and I guess I shouldn't take on something like this ( like that Swar competition!) until I have total confidence in myself...but with that said....I am soooooo happy they are finally in the mail!! Happy, happy PC beader!

You are not going to believe this! well actually you may... knowing my "issues" Yesterday I got talked into going white water rafting....12 miles of per h*ll!! Never again! I just cannot see the fun or excitement in getting your face slammed with a ton of water over and over again...oh well...this is really off topic...HOW LONG have we had to make our beads?? And I think I got right on it...anyway after failure, failure, failure...after purchasing inks, all kinds of paints..using different shapes....I still wasn't satisfied so I did the WHOLE batch over just now! That's it...needs some finish and off in the mail tomorrow...the finish is matte thank goodness..so it will not be sticky...dries very quickly....with that I am going to bed..have an over night shift to workHappy, Happy Beads!!!!
