Thanks, Sue. But it really isn't any more work than you do on your pieces - turning all those loops and forging and whatnot! I think we just all have our areas where we are willing to forget the effort and concentrate on the object and the pleasure of the process.

They are not drilled so setiing them is even a greater fun for me :D

The first one is white amethyst. Here's a pendant I've made with it and some rainbow moonstone briolettes:

And heres what I finished today - a penant featuring the most gorgeous bead I've ever seen - mystic topaz - and other beautiful stones: apatite, kyanite, iolite and amethyst. Just look how this topaz glows with all shades of blue, green and violet!

I'm anxiously waiting for new beads o this kind to arrive ;)

She asked if I could design a bracelet using some crystals that she had from her Grandmother. They arrived long ago but I had to collect proper materials to match them. The AB effect on crystals made me instantly think of crystal moonstone which has this incredible blue fire inside. Small faceted beads of this gemstones, combined with freshwater pearls and crystals from Martha were dressed in gently oxidised sterling and fine silver.

Some of us want to achieve this at all costs. Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, the main protagonist of Patrick Süskind's novel, has managed to create a truly divine masterpiece, but the effect of his work proved to be as tragic as whole Grenouille's life.

The idea of this necklace was born in my mind within a split second, but making it was really time-consuming. Large, natural white coral is trapped in a cage of diversly wrapped wires and crowned with a large natural pearl. The shape of the pendant resembles a bottle of perfume closed with an exquisite bung. I've also used some gorgeous rainbow moonstone flat briolettes, opalescent with ice-blue fire, freshwater pearls, howlite, rock crystal and lots of oxidised sterling and fine silver the delicate chain and subtle clasp are also made of.

Pendant's length: 6.5cm / 2.6''

Necklace's length: 72cm / 29''

This bracelet went through a LOT of changes! But I really like the way it ended up. It hugs the wrist and feels really good to wear. The chain is heavy enough to keep the focal on top of the wrist where it belongs.

I made the swirly Art Nouveau setting for the moonstone, using fusing, soldering and forging techniques. The chain is also handmade and is comprised of very heavy, mirrored, Not Tao 3 links in 16 and 18 gauge sterling silver.

There is a story that goes with this bracelet on my Jewelry Tales blog, click here if you'd like to read it. thanks for looking!
