Passing on some of my wire DVDs - Wire Names

Hey fellow wire workers!!! What a great forum!!! I've been working in wire for about three years and really love it!!! My big thing was learning how to make the wire name necklaces. I tried and tried but had a hard time learning...I then turned to the "MASTER" Preston Reuther...and with the help of his DVDs and lots of practice, I learned how to make the wire names!!! I have made tons of them for my friends and family. I enjoy making them for newborn babies especially, because there are some CRAZY spellings out there!!!

I just wanted you guys to know that I am passing on the 6DVD set for WAY less than I paid for it. If you have not tried the wire names you really should...It is very fun!!! It's listed on ebay this week, just search under "wire name dvd" if you would like to take on this new adventure!!!

Based on the previous posting I checked out Pasternak Findings and made a purchase. I just received my first order of rose gold wire from Pasternak and I am very unhappy with the quality. I purchased three gauges of dead soft gold-fill. One of the gauges is by far the worst wire I have ever had shipped to me. The condition of the wire is such that it looks like it has been used before or was recovered from the bottom of a bin. Even worse, there are dark and rough patches all over it making it look like either the quality of the gold or the processing of the is substandard. The condition of the other two gauges is better, but the quality of the gold or processing is suspect due to variation in the color of the gold in patches. I cannot use any of this wire in my jewelry due to its poor quality. I will be repackaging this for return shipment. I’m worried that I will lose out on shipping expenses as this company is in Israel. Pending the outcome of the return of the order I cannot recommend purchasing from this company.

The first picture is a necklace I just recently completed. It is made with sterling silver wire and a large faceted gold quartz bead. I used a coiled wire technique as well as a weave technique to complete the piece.

Second picture is of a pendant I designed for my friend's birthday last month. It is sterling silver wire, pink zebra jasper, and lepidolite.

Hi,

I like to share with you two necklaces, this is a new style for me I'll keep doing filigree also but I just wanted to try wire wrapping. These two necklaces are the second and third ones that I have made, first one was so awful, that I didn't want to make a picture from it . I have two little children and it is much easier to do wire wrapping than filigree with them.
