    Yes, I imagine you would need a larger torch to heat it high enough quickly enough to solder it. The torch I use (and use regularly) is an el-cheapo from Harbor Freight (I bet Menards carries affordable ones too, like this Bernzomatic ), straight propane, and it will heat something this size enough to...
