thanks for your help i ground it down the best i could but it still wont disolve there is just a thick layer at the bottom i just put the whole 100g pot (from the chemist) in there with the 92% denatured alcohol(thats the best i could find) im waiting for my boric acid and borax powder to get here then...

I've never worked with granules myself, only powder. Could you try grinding them up with a mortar and pestle, or perhaps an old coffee grinder you don't need anymore? Maybe then they would mix with your alcohol...?? Good luck, and let us know how it works for you.
