This is my first attempt at wire wrapping. I realized that polymer clay is a wonderful medium to combine with wire wrapping. When working with beads, you are limited by the location of the existing holes, while PC and wire can be connected at any point. This necklace combines my two main techniques ...

  • The Dragon Star - New Faux Cloisonne Pendant

Here is one of my recent pendants in the “Fairies and Princesses” series. Materials: polymer clay, resin, wire, a Swarovski crystal, and a sterling silver bail. Dimensions: the pendant is about 2" by 1.25".

  • Enamel Earrings, made with and ancient technique.

This is what I've been learning lately, the art of cloisonne enamel. Here where I live they have been doing it for centuries. All started as religious icons, but today they also make fashion and decorative pieces. The divider walls are 1mm high and 0.08 mm wide made of fine silver not to alter the...

  • An elf and an Indian princess - new faux cloisonne pendants

I am working on a few pieces for polymer clay conference that will be in Baltimore later this month. Here are a couple of finished pendants. Usually I color my faux cloisonne pieces to make them look more like enamel, but this time I went for a monochromatic look. What do you think?

  • New Faux Cloisonne Earrings

I just finished two pairs of faux cloisonné earrings. The first pair, Elegia, has a beautiful gradation of color from lilac to purple. This is my first experiment with color gradation as a base for my polymer clay cloisonné focal beads, and I am very pleased with the results. Now I want to try other...

Thank you all for the nice comments! Linelle, there is always plan "B", right? Start all over again! Actually, I was lucky with this necklace and did not have to repeat a single part of it. With two or three other ones I had to re-do some parts, and every time it was a true exercise in patience...

  • Wild Fire

Here is a necklace I made almost a year ago, but did not have a chance to show it yet. The main part is the five faux cloisonne beads I made from polymer clay. They were really challenging because of those lines that flow from one bead to another and have to match perfectly. Other beads are fresh-water...

  • Tulip (Enamel) and Pink Spiral (Polymer Clay)

A couple of my latest pieces. I'm really pleased with how they turned out. I've been concentrating on making completed necklaces rather than pendants strung on leather or cord. Thanks for looking.

  • The Purple Moon

I made these set of beads earlier this year (polymer clay, faux cloisonne). Recently they caught my eye, and I made them into a necklace and earrings set. The white and purple glass beads in the necklace and earrings are really cool - they glow in the dark! Other beads: glass, fresh-water pearls, sterling...
